Is there any way to deal with the turnips who steal your money???

I'm too slow to out run them, my scythe wont target them or it does nothing when it passes through them, and they steal 65+ money every time they hit me??

I cannot progress in this game without running into them and I can't get enough money to buy upgrades to out run them because they keep stealing all my money.

Am I missing something? No one else in the comments mentioned them...

Oh dang! Those pesky root monsters can be a nuisance, but you should be able to dispatch them with a couple swings of your scythe. If not, avoiding them entirely might be your best bet. Good luck, and happy harvesting!

@AvariceDM, thank you for reaching out about this issue!

To add onto @PeteSweene, the Root Monsters take a lot of hits at low scythe damage levels. If they're blinking and making noises when you hit them, they should be taking damage.

Let us know @AvariceDM if you're still having troubles. I hope this helps, and happy harvesting!

There wasnt a lot of blinking but i was able to beat one eventually.

It's a good game, but i just find it kind of frustrating. I think I would probably do better with a mouse instead of a touch pad. Part of the problem is that if i'm moving I can't change what direction i'm swinging.

Ah, yes, we designed The Green Reaper to be played with a mouse; I can see how using a touchpad would have made the game more difficult. Thank you for playing and giving us your feedback.

@Evm546, thank you for letting us know The Green Reaper hit the spot! We always get excited when we hear that our game is enjoyable because it means it's providing the experience we hoped it would give.

Thank you, again for sharing your experience and happy harvesting!

I literally can't stop playing. I've lost days, possibly weeks of my life, collecting that sweet sweet corn as I dodge the soil thrown into the deteriorating night sky by my exploding pumpkins. I get no sleep, as I can only dream of the crows, and their eagerness to relocate my trusty scythe to another farmers field. The blood of many root monsters fertilize my crops, as it sets an example to the others longing to get a taste of my sweet, sweet, succulent corn. 10/10 IGN.

Also, Here's a video of me playing this absolute masterpiece. Enjoy :P

@Twon82, I'm glad you were able to get the intended experience out of The Green Reaper. We here at Root Monster Studios strive to make games that keep you up at night; not due to fear, but due to the desire to get that next bushel of corn.

As for your video, the first two attempts at the no yellow quest were tragic, and I'm sure the designers laughed maniacally as they watched the hitbox of the scythe graze the adjacent corn.

Holy corn I had a blast. Keep this going.

By why did you end my gameplay before I could upgrade everything?? I felt so lost when I saw the end game screen, I had a few skills left to be upgraded!

Glad to hear you had a good time!

As for the premature end game screen, this is something we are planning on tackling in our next update. For our game jam, we wanted to make sure that we provided a goal and win state through the quota systems.

But do not worry! In a future update we are looking at add additional gameplay, an additional mode, and some more goodies we hope you'll like.

Thanks for the feedback!

Why not give the option of turning off the music?

That is a great question, and something that we will be working to implement in our next update!

Thanks for the feedback and enjoy the game!

Few things in life give me joy anymore.

However, the minute I had upgraded the green reapers scythe fully and witnessed the efficiency at which I cut cut red corn..... I can count on one hand the amount of times I have felt that powerful. Thank you for bringing joy to this old man. Julian, Grayson, Patrick, Peter, Risky and William, I think you guys got what it takes to make the best corn harvesting game this world has ever seen

I just noticed I have played 152 hrs. in the past two weeks. Obviously wrong. I also noticed my wife moved out. My youngest son now has 3 more children. My Oldest son joined the French Foreign Legion. Not sure why the electricity is still on.  Also, I noticed my cock is extremely large from playing this game.

Maybe I should have taken a few breaks.
